Once upon a time, a stryx was born from the ice and snow. A hat had been placed upon a snow stryx's head by a fun loving child, and the hat had been stolen from a disgruntled magician. Little did the child know, but the hat was meant to give life and magic to whatever it touched.
So... when the hat was placed upon the head of the snow stryx...
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Frosty squawked, growing to the full size of a gryph and shaking out his feathers.
The children, not knowing exactly what to make of this, simply stared. Their fun game had turned into a possibly dangerous stryx. Whatever should they do?
For most of them, the answer was simple.
